TheFreeSite.com: Misc. Freebies
In this section, TheFreeSite.com offers a roundup of various miscellaneous free products and free services that didn't fit into any of our other categories. Please send us E-mail if you'd like to submit a freebie listing, or if you find dead or expired links. All listings on this site copyrighted, 2008 by TheFreeSite.com.

  • Jumpcut
A nifty free service that lets you upload and edit your videos online. With Jumpcut's easy-to-use Flash-based video editor, you can create your own "movies," (combinations of individual video clips, photos, music, titles and effects). Jumpcut's only drawback is that the content you create here is "locked in" to the service (it will reside permanently on Jumpcut).

  • Softprint.net
This site offers a free online monthly calendar maker that lets you create custom calendars that you can output on your printer. If you have a Web site, you can easily add this online tool to your pages.

  • Glo-Con.com
This is a popular property listings service that offers thousands of photo ads, featuring property for sale or rent, from around the world. Property listings here are free and owners and sellers may be contacted directly.

  • BeggarsCanBeChoosers.com
This isn't really a "freebie;" it's the blog of TheFreeSite.com's creator, Marc McDonald. Although this political commentary blog leans progressive, it mainly focuses on issues that the U.S. mainstream press neglects to cover. If you'd like to set up your own blog, check out TheFreeSite.com's roundup of the Web's top free blog services.

  • MySavings.com
This site offers a roundup of freebies and discount offers. Here, you'll find hundreds of free samples, coupons, travel and shopping discounts, and more.

  • FreeTideTables.com
This site offers a large roundup of free, printable online tide tables. The tables here include predictions of times and levels of the ocean tides for more than 3,000 locations along U.S. coasts.

  • Free white paper downloads
At this site, you'll find a directory of hundreds of free business, computer, engineering and trade white papers, downloads and podcasts that are "free to professionals who qualify." Topics include management, marketing, operations, sales, and technology. Note: many of the offers have international availability, but most are U.S. only.

  • eCheat.com
At this popular site, you'll find a big collection of free school essays, as well as homework help and other student resources. The essays have been submitted and graded by high school and college students. Be sure to read the site's FAQ, which points out that the materials here are not intended to promote cheating (despite the site's title) but rather to "provide a reference for students writing papers."

  • GoalSetting1.com
Do you have goals that you'd like to accomplish? At this new "interactive goal-setting site," you can share your goals with an online community, as well as get support and share advice with other goal setters.

  • Lulu
Looking to publish your own book? This is the place to go. Lulu lets you easily convert your manuscript into a printed book and get it listed for sale on online retailers like Amazon. The service is free (Lulu only takes a cut if and when you sell your work). You also retain all rights to your work.

  • BugMeNot.com
These days, more and more sites (such as NYTimes.com) pester you to register before you can access their content. Even more annoyingly, the registration process often requires you to divulge personal info. A handy free service, BugMeNot.com, lets you easily bypass mandatory registration at nearly 100,000 sites.

  • Free homework help
Need help with your school homework? This free service lets you post questions in any one of hundreds of subject categories and have them answered by tutors. Although the basic service is free, there's also an optional pay service that's aimed at those who have particularly complex questions, or are on a tight deadline.

  • TheBlogs.net
Are you looking to start up your own blog? At this site, you can publish and host your own blog for free. TheBlogs.net features an easy-to-use publishing interface and offers free templates for your blog. Other free options here include RSS syndication and search-engine-friendly URLs.

  • FindFreeCollegeEssays.com
At this site, you'll find thousands of free college essays and term papers. The site requires you to register to access the full text of the contents of each paper. Registering is free, but you're required to submit a paper of your own.

  • Sheet Music Web
Looking for free sheet music? The biggest resource of its kind, Sheet Music Web serves up a large collection of links to sites that offer downloadable sheet music that you can output on your printer.
